we are in search for friendly and energetic servers to join our team at mantra.   who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers.  duties will mostly include taking food and drink orders and ensuring that tables are served properly and that all payments are collected. 

to succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff.  previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired. 

responsibilities 

• read, understand, and memorize the menu
• provide excellent, friendly, customer service in a fast-paced environment. 
• introduce the guests to our unique concept and educate them on our menu and offerings
• maintain confidence, a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with staff. 
• able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. 
• ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.
• communicate clearly and directly with management and fellow staff in instances when extra support is needed.
• follow all steps of service, including department checklists for opening and closing duties
• maintain cleanliness and restaurant appearance standards
• uphold safety standards and adhere to all established sanitation, health, and food & work safety practices.
• this position will require you to be standing for the duration of your shift for up to 8 hour periods.
